Health Insurance News- Universal HealthCare and Business Health Insurance
Universal Healthcare Could Cause Many Businesses to Stop Providing Health Insurance to Their Employees to Cut Costs
September 11, 2009 — Many individuals are finding themselves less reassured with reassurances that the President offered on the health care reform on September 9, 2009. There is an estimated 46.3 million people in the United States that do not have any health insurance policy. The need for something to be done is long past, but many changes that President Obama gave are not what would be best for America that is long past in debt.
President Obama talked that there would be no changes that would take effect that companies would be required to make that already offered health insurance to their employees. This does not inquire that a vast number of companies will not decide to change their health plans anyway. In today’s rigid economy, everyone, including individuals and businesses are trying to find ways to cut down expenses. The introduction of universal healthcare will make it beyond simple for companies to stop offering medical insurance to their employees as a way to cut costs. This will mean that even more individuals than now will be requiring assistance from the government with their healthcare needs.
President Obama said that he would not amplify the United States’ arrears with the starting of this new program. The new public healthcare plan is to remain a self funded project, however, 2/3 of all individuals who are currently without medical insurance live in poverty status. How will 30 million people afford to pay for a plan when they are now having problems just putting dinner upon the table and keeping their rent paid? The money to help these individuals will have to come from somewhere.
While addressing the untamed claims of some of the more vocalized individuals whom are opposed to universal healthcare, like the likelihood of death panels, was advantageous, many of the things contested left even more questions unanswered. The fact that Medicare funding is to face cutbacks but money will not be taken for senior citizens utilizing Medicare is a very confusing situation.
The utilization of emotion and reminiscence as President Obama referred to Ted Kennedy and his ideas of the need for universal healthcare was just plain performance. While it may have been a good tactic towards a campaign, truth speaks louder than emotions when it comes to medical and health care changes.
Others that have resided within countries with universal healthcare intact already are usually the first to denounce it. Private medical insurance loves competition, quality, and customer relations. Individuals that are currently with medical insurance should research other options that are available to them before they follow the universal healthcare plan that the President proposed.
